THE BEST IN NEBRASKA

Our tryouts are used to help evaluate which players will be a part of our Top Gun Nebraska program and which specific team they will be placed on. This Fall we anticipate having the following teams:

• Top Gun Nebraska - 2024/2025

• Top Gun Nebraska - 2026/2027

• Top Gun Nebraska - U14

• Top Gun Nebraska - U12

• Top Gun Nebraska - U10

We evaluate players based on four main categories:

​

• Technical - Stick skills with dominant & non-dominant hand, dodging, defensive skills & offensive skills

• Tactical - Vision & awareness, position specific knowledge, lacrosse IQ

• Physical - Speed, strength, quickness & agility, explosiveness, endurance, toughness

• Mental - Coachability, mental fortitude, competitiveness, leadership, attitude, communication

At tryouts, players will be put through various drills, stations and scrimmages to help coaches evaluate based on the criteria listed above. Players can expect to go through the following at tryouts:

• Stickwork 

• Position Specific Stations

• Competitive Drills

• Full Field Scrimmage
