The Top Gun Recruiting Advantage

College Recruiting at Top Gun Midwest

Helping our players find the right-fit college—athletically, academically, and spiritually—is at the heart of Top Gun Midwest. The recruiting journey is clearer (and far less stressful) when you have a plan, honest feedback, and trusted advocates speaking on your behalf. That’s what our staff provides.

Meet Our Recruiting Directors

Matt Kimsey — Co-Owner, Top Gun Lacrosse; Director of Lacrosse, Just Play Sports Solutions
Matt works hand-in-hand with 150+ college coaches nationwide through his leadership role at Just Play. He understands exactly how staffs evaluate prospects, what film and data actually matter, and how to position your son for meaningful conversations. Matt’s network spans DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, and JUCO, giving our athletes real access—not mass emails.

Andrew Briones — Head Coach, William Jewell College (NCAA DII)
A current NCAA Division II head coach, Andrew brings an on-the-field coach’s lens to recruiting. He began his career as a Graduate Assistant at Lincoln Memorial (NCAA DII, 2021–2023) and is a 2021 graduate of Newberry College (NCAA DII). Andrew helps families see recruiting from the college side: roster building, positional needs, and the intangibles coaches value on visit days and in the locker room.
