FALL TEAM TRYOUT INFORMATION
Date: Saturday, August 12, 2023
Location: Shawnee Mission East HS
11:30am - 2028, 2029 grad years (7th / 8th grade)
1pm - 2030, 2031, 2032, 2033, 2034 (2nd - 6th grade)
New Player Cost: $25
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our tryouts are used to help evaluate which players will be a part of our Top Gun Midwest program and which specific team they will be placed on. This Fall we anticipate having the following teams:

We evaluate players based on four main categories:

Technical - Stick skills with dominant & non-dominant hand, dodging, defensive skills & offensive skills
-
Tactical - Vision & awareness, position specific knowledge, lacrosse IQ

Physical - Speed, strength, quickness & agility, explosiveness, endurance, toughness
-
Mental - Coachability, mental fortitude, competitiveness, leadership, attitude, communication
At tryouts, players will be put through various drills, stations and scrimmages to help coaches evaluate based on the criteria listed above. Players can expect to go through the following at tryouts:
