Matt Kimsey - Mavs LC Director / 2026
Coach Kimsey has 10+ years experience coaching at the high school and collegiate level - most recently as the head coach of at the University of Saint Mary where he coached for 5 years. In 2015 Coach Kimsey was awarded the GRLC Division II Coach of the Year. In 2017 he led the Spires into the NAIA National Tournament, and consistently had the Spires in the top 10 in the NAIA post-season polls during his time at USM. Coach Kimsey currently is the Director of Lacrosse for Just Play Sports Solutions, and works closely with many NCAA DI, II, III & NAIA coaches around the country.
David Colbert - 2026
David Colbert has served as the Pembroke Hill varsity lacrosse head coach since 2009. David's teams have consistently been one of the top teams in the Kansas City metropolitan area, finishing in second place in the Lacrosse Association of Kansas City championship tournament three straight years, 2012-2014. In 2009, his team won the Missouri State Lacrosse Association championship and followed it up with a trip to the MSLA Final Four in 2010. David currently serves on the LAKC executive board as the rules committee chairman and on the Kansas City Youth Lacrosse Association competition committee.
Chris Torline - 2026
Chris Torline has been playing and coaching lacrosse for over 30 years. Chris played midfield and attack for Kansas State University, and continued played midfield and defense for competitive mens teams in Kansas City. Chris currently plays for the Moose in Kansas City, and as well as competitively for Princeton BCLF in the Supermasters age division in Vail, CO every year. Chris has been coaching lacrosse since college, and has been Assistant Coach at Blue Valley North High School, Head Coach at Shawnee Mission East High School, Head Coach of the competitive youth travel team Blue Lions, and currently coaches U14 Youth for the Blue Valley Lacrosse Club. Chris loves to instill life lessons in young men and women through the sport of lacrosse; knowing by supporting our youth in life lessons of perseverance and emotional strength they can accomplish anything. Off the field Chris trains emotional capacity with men, women, young adults, and anyone who wants to create something new in their life. Chris has a son and daughter who love lacrosse as much as he does.
Andy Gustafson - 2027
Andy played Midfield at Kansas University from 2000 - 2004. Andy has had number of coaching positions over the years including - Blue Valley Girls High School, Brookside Youth, Prairie Village Youth, and currently as the Pembroke Hill 7/8th Head Coach.
Kevin Looby - 2027
Kevin played for Rockhurst High School and then went on to Trinity College (Hartford, CT).
Kevn has coached at Columbia Rockbridge High School (Asst. - 2013, 2014; Head Coach - 2015),
Lee's Summit West High School (Asst. - 2016 to 2020) and currently with

Nic Bailey - 2027
Nic played Attack for Shawnee Mission East from 2011-2015. He then went on to play DIII lacrosse for Transylvania University as an Attack from 2015-2019. Nic coached Prairie Village youth in 2021 and currently coaches for Mill Valley High school as a Varsity Assistant.
Brandon Horschig - Young Guns Director / 2028
Coach Horschig played Midfield at NAIA Missouri Baptist University before entering into Lacrosse full time. Brandon has run multiple clubs from St. Louis to Kansas City where he currently helps direct Midwest Top Gun and KC Elevate. Brandon is the face of the youth lacrosse community here in Kansas City as he runs year-round developmental programs through KC Elevate Lacrosse as well as three of the largest Spring Clubs with Prairie Village, Blue Valley and Brookside. Coach Horschig's focus is on providing KC's youth with the highest level of development through a travel-based club with Young Guns.
Kyle Beard - 2028
Coach Beard is in his first season as an assistant coach after spending the 2020 and 2019 seasons as a graduate assistant and the 2018 season as a student assistant. He serves as the defensive coordinator for the team.
Beard was a two-time Second Team All-KCAC selection as a defender for the Braves in 2016 and 2017. In his two year career, Beard played in 26 games. He tallied 55 ground balls, and caused 30 turnovers.

Tom Peters - 2029
Tom began his playing career for the PV outlaws. Went on to play all 4 years at Shawnee Mission East under Coach Will Garrett. Started in 2 LAKC final games and won the city championship senior year in 2016.
Tom got his start in coaching in the summers during college, coaching swimming in the CCSAKC league. He coached for 3 summers at Mission Hills Country Club. This will be Tom's first year coaching youth lacrosse.
FUN FACT: Tom has an obsessive passion for KU athletics and the university as a whole, he loves the game of golf, and also loves to listen to music in his free time - specifically classic rock and roll.

Jeremiah Ryden - 2030/31
Jeremiah played midfield for KSU from 92-95 and then for various mens teams after college in the KC area. Coach Ryden Coached Shawnee Mission Raiders from 2001-2008 as the Assistant Varsity coach and JV head coach. Jeremiah Founded Blue Valley Youth Lacrosse in 2009 and has helped bring various camps to the KC area including The Blue Devil Elite with Matt Dannowski, Playmaker Camp with Kyle Harrison, and Wolf Lacrosse with Jordan Wolf. Jeremiah's hobbies include hunting, golfing (although he isn't very good at either). Jeremiah Resides in BV with his wife (Valerie) and two boys.
Sam Ryden - 2030
Sam played high school lacrosse for the Shawnee Mission club team. He then went on to play for a Kansas City men's team during and after college.
This is his third year coaching for the Blue Valley Youth Lacrosse club. He also coached for the Shawnee Mission high school club team prior to coaching for the Spartans.
